Google launched the artificial intelligence-supported Search Overview feature in the USA last May. The suggestion that a user put rocks and glue on a pizza raised questions about the intelligence of Search Overview. However, the internet giant is making this feature available in six more countries.
It will now be possible to use the Search Overview feature in the UK, India, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico and Brazil. Within the scope of this expansion, the local languages of the countries in question are also added to the support list of the Search Overview feature.
Although the Search Overview feature makes mistakes; Google underlines that young users between the ages of 18-24 receive more interaction with this feature. The company also states that the results users see with Overview in Search are more useful.
There is now a right-hand link display for the Search Overview on desktop (this can also be accessed on mobile by tapping the favicons in the top right). Google is also testing adding links to relevant web pages directly within the Search Overview text to make it easier for you to navigate and check out topics you’re interested in.
Google also allows recording Incoming Look information in artificial intelligence-supported Search
A new experiment at Search Labs allows you to save specific Search Overview information for future reference. All you have to do is tap the Save button under Search Overview. Then, tapping on the profile icon and going to the Interests page is enough to see the records. However, it is worth noting that this is only available to English speakers living in the USA. To do this, you need to sign up for the experiment through Search Labs.
Finally, in some overviews there will be an option to simplify the language with a single tap, which can come in handy if you’re new to a topic and want an easier way to digest information.
