Google is working on a way that will allow users to search for a calling phone number directly from the recent calls screen.
X user AssembleDebug reported to PiunikaWeb about a new “Research” button in the beta version of the Google Phone app. Clicking this button displays the number entered in Google Search for the user.
Google Will Offer a Delayed Feature to Its Users
The Google Phone app is an app that already exists on Pixel phones. However, other Android users can download this application externally to their phones if they wish. The new ‘Research button’ is present along with other options such as ‘Block’ and ‘History’, which appear when clicking on recent calls in the Phone app.

In this era when many people are being spammed by fake phone numbers, this feature is thought to be a little late. However, it will be welcome that users will be spared the hassle of copying and pasting unknown numbers into Google.
AssembleDebug also revealed that Google is working on adding Gemini email digests to the Android version of its Gmail app. The feature is available as a button just below the subject line of an email.
PiunikaWeb notes that the button doesn’t do anything yet, but there is a new Gemini menu option in Gmail’s three-dot menu.
