Here is the Samsung Galaxy Ring

At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced Galaxy Ring, a new finger-worn device developed for health monitoring. This device is a significant addition to Samsung’s ecosystem of health monitoring equipment. Galaxy Ring, which has been announced several times before, is finally available for pre-order today. With this product, Samsung aims to enter a market dominated by small-scale players such as Oura Ring.

Galaxy Ring claims that Samsung has managed to fit existing sensor technology into a ring form that is quite small. It contains an accelerometer, PPG/heart rate and skin temperature sensor, and this data is transferred to the Samsung Health app. You can track information such as your sleep score, how much you move during sleep, your heart and respiratory rate and your menstrual cycle through the application. An overall Energy Score evaluates how you feel each day and suggests what you need to change.

It also helps you avoid problems by alerting you when your heart rate gets too slow or fast. It also has basic features such as automatic workout detection and sending notifications when you don’t move enough. The ring can also serve as a remote shutter release for your Galaxy smartphone.

Although there is a limit to what the ring can do due to limitations in its form factor, if you are part of the Samsung ecosystem and want to have the most detailed information about your body, this device may be ideal for you.

Galaxy Ring is made of titanium and offers water resistance of up to 100 meters. It has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. Depending on the size of the ring, its weight varies between 2.3 and 3 grams and offers up to seven days of battery life on a single charge. The Galaxy Ring will be available in Black Titanium, Silver, or Gold and will retail for $400. Pre-orders in the US will begin on July 10, with general sales starting on July 24.
