Highway, Tunnel and Bridge Toll Payments Will Soon Be Made Via e-Government!

Private Highway Toll Payments Are Now Included in e-Government Services!

In his written statement about the projects carried out by the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Abdulkadir Uraoğlu announced a new feature to be added to the e-Government platform. Uraloğlu said that tunnel, bridge and highway toll payments operated by private enterprises can now be made via e-Government.

For those who don’t know, highway tolls can currently only be paid through the website or mobile application of the relevant business. With the new feature, vehicle owners will be able to complete all their highway toll payments via the e-Government platform, eliminating the hassle of making payments on different websites and applications. The service in question is expected to be implemented soon.

Minister Uraloğlu used the following statements in his statement on the subject:

“Our citizens will now be able to make their debt payments for tunnels, bridges and highway tolls securely via e-Government with a single click. Vehicle owners will be able to track their highway usage and pay their toll debts that have not been subject to legal proceedings and their toll payments that have not been penalized. These improvements will make it easier for users to pay tolls without incurring penalties, and only people with registered vehicles will be able to perform these transactions. Our goal is to increase access to digital services and make these services more practical and secure by making the lives of our citizens easier.”
