After launching its Vibe phone earlier this year, HMD Global seems to be preparing another budget-friendly phone for the US market. This new device, called HMD Atlas, will appear as the successor of the Nokia G400, which will be released in 2022.
Leaked information gives some clues about the design of the phone. HMD Atlas has a flat body and a rectangular camera module on the back. On the front, there are thin frames and a hole for the selfie camera. In the leaked images, the device appears to be in Olive Green color, but it is likely that there will be other color options as well.
When we look at the technical specifications of HMD Atlas, it is said to have a 6.64-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to come with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
In the camera department, there will be a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra wide-angle lens and a depth sensor. There will be a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
Atlas will have a battery with a capacity of 5500mAh and this battery will support Quick Charge 4.0 technology. Connectivity options will include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. Additionally, the phone will have a microSD card slot, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
While the dimensions of the phone are stated as 163 x 75 x 8.75 mm, its weight will be 210 grams. The price of the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is estimated to be $ 239.99. However, there is no information yet about the release date of the device.
