Honda’s new 0 Series electric vehicles were introduced at CES 2025

Honda introduced two prototype models of the 0 Series, which it plans to launch in 2026, at the CES 2025 fair held in Las Vegas. These models are called Honda 0 Sedan and Honda 0 SUV. In addition, the company also unveiled its self-developed vehicle operating system ASIMO OS and new automatic driving technologies with Level 3 autonomous driving features. These steps once again reveal Honda’s assertiveness in the electric vehicle market and the importance it attaches to technological innovations.

The Honda 0 Sedan prototype was developed by maintaining the design lines of the concept model introduced at CES 2024. This sedan, which draws attention with its low and sporty body structure, offers a spacious interior despite its compact exterior dimensions. Honda plans to launch the 0 Sedan model in 2026, first in North America, then in Japan and Europe.

The SUV prototype was designed with inspiration from the Space-Hub concept introduced at CES 2024. This model, which stands out with its spacious interior and wide viewing angle, offers driving dynamics that can adapt to different road conditions thanks to 3D gyroscope sensors developed using Honda’s robotic technologies. The SUV model is aimed to be launched in North America in 2026, and then in Japan and Europe.

Honda 0 Series will work with ASIMO OS

ASIMO OS, developed by Honda’s own engineers, will be used in 0 Series models. This operating system provides integrated control of automatic driving, advanced driving support systems and in-car infotainment systems. ASIMO OS, which will be supported by continuous updates, aims to offer users a more fun and comfortable driving experience.

Honda, which has also taken important steps in automatic driving technologies, plans to activate Level 3 autonomous driving features in its 0 Series models. In this way, a highly reliable driving support system that can respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected situations will be offered. Honda aims to create new possibilities in mobility by providing a driving experience where your eyes can be taken off the road in all driving conditions.

Accelerating its technological collaborations, Honda announced that it has partnered with Japanese chip manufacturer Renesas for its new generation models. Within the scope of this cooperation, a central electrical and electronic architecture will be developed that combines multiple electronic control units that control vehicle systems in a single core unit. Renesas’ fifth-generation R-Car X5 series will be coupled with an AI accelerator optimized for Honda’s AI software.

Honda aims to set a new standard in electric vehicles by adopting the “Thin, Light and Smart” development approach with the 0 Series. This series aims to offer users a unique mobility experience by combining features such as aesthetic design, advanced driving assistance systems, connected technologies and high energy efficiency.

The 0 Series prototypes, introduced at CES 2025, stand out as concrete examples of Honda’s electric vehicle vision. The company plans to gain a strong position in the global electric vehicle market by launching these models in 2026.
