Huawei Developer Competition Europe Regional Final was held in Istanbul

Huawei Developer Competition, European Region competition program ended with the closing ceremony hosted by Bahçeşehir University. At the event, where the importance of innovation in digital transformation was emphasized, innovative projects developed through the platforms provided by Huawei Cloud were also evaluated. Huawei Developer Competition, one of Huawei’s most prestigious events for developers in the IT industry, aims to showcase the company’s technological innovations in different industries. The competition, which brings together innovation-oriented software ideas, encourages developers to reveal their creativity and innovative ideas in the field of cloud application development. Everyone, from individual developers to students and businesses, can participate in the competition, which will be held in 2024 with the theme “Spark of Endless Ideas”. Participants who access Huawei’s APIs can produce software solutions using the company’s advanced technologies and tools.

The purpose of the competition is explained as growing the Huawei Cloud developer community, supporting the transition of successful projects to the cloud, and contributing to the development of local Huawei Cloud Developer Groups (HCDG) groups. Creating an open and sustainable developer ecosystem through collaborations with universities is also among the goals. As the host of the competition, Türkiye plays an important role in both the planning and execution processes.

Successful projects were rewarded

At the ceremony, the official introduction and award ceremony of Huawei Cloud Developer Group (HCDG) was held. The HCDG award was presented to Bahçeşehir University with the participation of Huawei and Bahçeşehir University officials.

Afterwards, the winning teams are; They presented their successful projects focusing on strategic planning, artificial intelligence-based solutions and cloud computing infrastructure. Following the presentations, the winning project teams received their awards at the ceremony attended by Huawei and Bahçeşehir University officials.

In the panel titled ‘Creating a Digital Nation through the Cloud’ held after the ceremony, Huawei experts, Bahçeşehir University academics and industry representatives evaluated the role of cloud technologies in digital transformation.
