Huawei grew 51 percent in the tablet market

Huawei recorded a 51 percent growth in the global tablet market in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. Canalys’ data shows that the Chinese manufacturer can have a say in the global tablet race with more shipments and more market share.

According to data from Canalys, the global tablet market increased by 18 percent in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. A total of 35.9 million tablets were shipped during this period.

Huawei shipped 2.5 million tablets in the second quarter of the year and captured a market share of 7 percent. It should be noted that this rate is slightly smaller than in the first quarter. However, a 2.5 percent increase in market share compared to the previous year is notable. With Huawei also recording an increase in its shipment value, the company’s total growth rate approached 51 percent and reached 50.8 percent.

According to Canalys; Tablet sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, especially in China, play an important role in Huawei’s place in third place. It is stated that these regions helped Huawei move higher in the tablet market.
