Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 introduced, here are its features

Huawei has officially unveiled its new tablet called MatePad Pro 12.2. The target audience of the tablet is professional creative users. The latest version of Huawei’s digital painting and drawing application called Tianshenghuihua is also waiting for users on the tablet, which comes with a double-layer OLED screen.

The focus of MatePad Pro 12.2 is portability. According to Huawei, the tablet weighs 508 grams and is the lightest 12-inch tablet on the market. What makes this lightweight design possible is the back panel, which is 0.5 mm thick and covered with glass fiber material used in the aviation industry.

Another striking point in the MatePad Pro 12.2 tablet is the screen. It is also noted that this screen, which has a double OLED panel layer, is the best in its class. This panel, with a maximum brightness level of 2000 nits, offers 2.8K resolution. Huawei also points out that the double layer triples the lifespan of the OLED panel and increases power efficiency by 33 percent.

The display also comes with “flashpoint elimination technology” to reduce flicker and increase visibility in bright conditions. Other display features include 144 Hz refresh rate, P3 wide color gamut and 3:2 aspect ratio.

Huawei does not provide information about the processor and battery details of the tablet. However, it seems likely that the company’s new Kirin 9010W processor will be at the heart of the tablet. It is estimated that the required energy is provided by a 10000 mAh capacity battery with 100W fast charging support.

The 8-megapixel front camera on the tablet is complemented by a 13-megapixel rear camera. MatePad Pro 12.2 has a total of eight speakers designed for both high and low frequencies.

The MatePad Pro 12.2 also supports the company’s new Star Leap Keyboard. This keyboard also has a charging slot for the M-Pencil. This makes it easier to charge and store the pen. The magnetic smart axis design allows for easy opening and closing with one hand, mimicking the laptop experience.

How much should you pay for Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2?

Three color options are offered for Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2: black, white and gold. The base version of the tablet with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs 4299 yuan (20176 TL) in China.
