The traffic lights in Indonesia’s most populous city, Jakarta, are now entrusted to the Turkish company ISSD. ISSD, which draws attention with the artificial intelligence-based traffic management system they developed, manages traffic at 40 intersections in Indonesia.
Traffic management of 40 intersections in Jakarta is in the hands of the Turkish company ISSD!
ISSD, established within METU Teknokent in 2009, has been working on electronic inspection and simulation issues for many years. ISSD, which has come to the fore with the Dynamic Intersection Control System they call CHAOS, is now making a name for itself in Indonesia. ISSD, which undertakes the management of 40 intersections in the capital Jakarta, the largest city in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, provides control at the intersections with a smart traffic management system.
Focusing on reducing traffic congestion and making transportation efficient thanks to its artificial intelligence base, the system uses real-time data to control traffic flow. ISSD traffic management system, which constantly monitors traffic density and flow, focuses on the minimum number of stops and starts of vehicles. In this way, the system, which reduces not only time but also fuel consumption and emissions, is currently used in 15 countries. It is located at 40 intersections in Jakarta.
Making a statement on the subject, ISSD Chairman of the Board of Directors Çağrı Kaptanoğlu said the following:
“This technology is considered an important step to reduce traffic congestion in Jakarta…We reduce traffic congestion with the artificial intelligence technology we use. Artificial intelligence optimizes traffic flow, ensuring that traffic is fluid even during peak hours. We realize efficient transportation with the traffic management system we implement. We make transportation more efficient by shortening journey times. “We reduce fuel consumption and emissions by reducing traffic congestion and preventing vehicles from stopping and starting… The implementation of this system in other metropolises can make urban transportation more sustainable and efficient.”
We are proud that a system developed by our country has spread to so many countries. The traffic management system developed by ISSD is admirable. What do you think about ISSD’s artificial intelligence-based traffic management system? We welcome your ideas in comments.
