Intel keeps laying off jobs
Intel, which started to experience turmoil in its financial statements due to the global economic crisis, announced a giant restructuring plan in 2022. Intel, which allocated a budget of 10 billion dollars for transactions such as separation of certain departments and compensation of employees, has been continuing to lay off employees for about 2 years.
The company’s last victim in this context was the Sales and Marketing department. While the necessary information will be provided to the employees in the department, compensation support will be provided to those who are laid off. No further details were given on the subject.
With the restructuring, Intel plans to increase its operating profit margin to 25-30 percent by 2030. The company will both reduce the number of employees and terminate certain projects. In this context, layoffs will exceed 10 thousand.
