The Intelligence Power Project, carried out by Turkcell in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, continues to bring specially talented students together with technology. In this context, a new Intelligence Power Technology Class was opened at the Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş. The opening of the first classroom, which is planned to be operational in 2025, was noted as a special day for students and parents. The project is not limited to education alone, but draws attention with its vision of training the technological leaders of the future.
Turkcell General Manager Dr. attended the opening ceremony in Elbistan. In addition to Ali Taha Koç, officials from the Ministry of National Education also attended. At the event, robotics and coding sets were given to the students as gifts, and children were shared in their report card excitement. These classes offer unique opportunities to students by focusing on important technologies of the future, such as artificial intelligence, robotic coding and software development. This class, opened in Elbistan BİLSEM, aims to move the education standards in the region forward.
It is stated that the Intelligence Power Project has been operating in 55 cities with a total of 87 classes so far. Approximately 66 thousand students benefit from these technology classes every year. There are a total of 13 Intelligence Power classes in 10 provinces affected by the earthquake, including Kahramanmaraş. This new class opened in Elbistan is one of the most recent additions to the expanding network of the project.
The technological equipment used in the project is specially selected to develop students’ creativity. Classes enriched with laptops, 3D printers, Raspberry Pi kits, sensor sets and Arduino hardware offer students practical experience. In this way, skills are reinforced not only through theory but also through practical training.
This project, which has made a worldwide impact, has proven its success with its social impact analysis. According to research conducted with the SROI (Social Return on Investment) methodology, 84% of students show an increase in their self-confidence and academic performance. Additionally, 83% of the students have a sense of curiosity and 82% have a significantly increased interest in technology. These data reveal the impact of the Intelligence Power Project on education.
The project also attracts great interest on international platforms. In the “Sustainable Development Goals” report presented by the World GSM Association (GSMA) at the United Nations, the Intelligence Power Project was introduced as one of the exemplary projects with the highest social impact. In addition, students who have won more than 400 awards in national and international competitions are increasing the success rate of the project day by day.
Turkcell General Manager Dr. In his speech at the opening, Ali Taha Koç emphasized that they aim to raise generations that not only consume but also produce technology. Stating that students have the opportunity to receive training in many fields from artificial intelligence to cloud technologies, Koç stated that they will continue to invest in the future of our country with this vision.
Intelligence Power classes aim to build Turkey’s technology-driven future. Classes opened especially in earthquake-affected areas contribute to equality of opportunity by increasing the level of education in these areas. The new class in Elbistan also stands out as an important part of these goals.
