BYD has received a patent for a brand new water-going vehicle. In the list published by the China National Intellectual Property Administration on July 26, BYD’s invention patent titled “Water and Land Vehicles and Control Method” was included. BYD wants to fill a gap in the market with this move.

This new vehicle was designed as a type of water-going land vehicle. That is, it can move both on land and in water. According to BYD’s application, the water-going vehicle patent actually consists of only the vehicle body and tracked wheels.
