In this volume, payments made with credit cards increased by 105 percent from 514.9 billion TL to 1,056.8 billion TL, payments made with debit cards increased by 65 percent from 113.2 billion TL to 186.2 billion TL, and payments made with prepaid cards increased by 65 percent from 113.2 billion TL to 186.2 billion TL. While card payments made over the internet increased by 101 percent from 174.4 billion TL to 349.7 billion TL, the share of these payments in total card payments increased from 26 percent to 27 percent.
Additionally, the number of transactions made by card increased by 17 percent, from 1,326.6 million to 1,552 million. In these transactions, transactions made with credit cards increased by 21 percent from 735.6 million to 887.8 million, transactions with debit cards increased by 9 percent from 509.9 million to 553.7 million, and transactions made with prepaid cards increased by 36 percent from 81.1 million to 110.5 million. rose to million.
The use of contactless payment for in-store card payments has also increased significantly. While the number of contactless payments increased by 28 percent, from 804.9 million to 1,027.5 million, the amount of contactless payments increased by 125 percent, from 182 billion TL to 409.4 billion TL.
