A security patch introduced by Microsoft at the beginning of April caused VPN connection issues for some Windows 11 users. Many users were waiting for updates and solutions to the error from Microsoft.
Thereupon, Microsoft announced that it started investigating reports of VPN connection errors after installing the April 2024 Windows 11 update.
The KB5036893 security update was released on April 9 for all Windows 11 editions, and some users reported that VPN connections with TPM-supported certificates were not working after installing the patch.
Microsoft said that it is investigating user reports for the VPN problem that occurred after installing the April 2024 security update and will provide more information in the coming days.
Although Windows has a Windows Insider program designed to catch bugs in early versions of updates, it has been stated that some security patches can cause unexpected problems such as VPN connection failure.
