Windows 11is gearing up to roll out a slew of new AI features, but one feature rumored to be coming soon could be the biggest change yet, especially when it comes to your computer’s privacy.
So what causes the concern about privacy? According to the new feature coming in the latest version, you will now be able to record everything on your screen to help you find something you are working on or looking for when you search.
The beneficial aspect of this is that you will be able to quickly find a report that you cannot remember where you saved, through the new “timeline interface”. This feature can also be used in situations such as browsing histories.
Your Movements in Windows 11 Will Be Recorded
For example, if you are looking for how to use WhatsApp Web but cannot remember which browser you are using or which site the information is on, AI Explorer (or Recall as it will be called) will be able to find the information for you.
No matter how useful this new feature sounds, it is natural that there are concerns about privacy. If your computer is aware of everything you do and transfers it to an artificial intelligence model, it is not difficult to guess what vulnerabilities this may cause.
Although this feature will be on by default when it first arrives, it can be turned off. The company will introduce the feature in detail in the coming weeks.
