New BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Will Redefine Standards

The engine, chassis, body, design and storage space of the BMW GS Adventure, which has a flat twin-cylinder boxer engine that has been identified with long-distance motorcycle journeys with a passenger and plenty of luggage for more than twenty years, have been renewed to offer motorcycle enthusiasts a much more adventure experience.

Compact design, high comfort

The legendary twin-cylinder boxer engine is once again at the center of the R 1300 GS Adventure model in the renewed version. The model is offered in a much more compact version than the previous generation, thanks to the new design first featured in the R 1300 GS and the transmission placed under the engine.

At the heart of the new suspension is the steel sheet metal main frame, which in addition to significantly improving installation space, provides a higher level of rigidity compared to the previous model. Instead of the previous tubular steel structure, the New R 1300 GS Adventure model features an aluminum cage-type tubular rear chassis made of aluminum tubes and pressed parts. The new generation EVO Telelever and the revised rear EVO Paralever provide much more handlebar sensitivity and riding stability.

Exciting driving experience

Thanks to the new Electronic Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA), a much more exciting driving experience can be experienced on all surfaces by dynamically adapting the shock absorber and spring rate and offering load compensation features as standard to users. DSA offers a much higher level of driving safety, performance and comfort both alone, with passengers and with heavy loads.

The new R 1300 GS Adventure also draws attention with the fact that even in its standard version, it now has four driving modes instead of three to adapt to the driver’s personal driving preferences. “Rain” and “Road” driving modes enable the driving character to adapt to most road conditions. While it is possible to reach maximum range with a single tank of fuel with the “Eco” driving mode, the additional driving mode “Enduro” offers a higher performance driving experience on dirt roads with its special setting for off-road use.

With the optional New Automatic Shift Assist (ASA), an innovative solution is offered that makes motorcycle riding easier and more comfortable. Based on the motto “Simplify your driving”, the new Automatic Shift Assist (ASA) takes the driving experience to the next level by automating the gear shifting process, improving the driving experience without compromising the sensory important dynamics of gear shifting.

The new R 1300 GS offers the lighting concept with maximum safety with LED light units offered as standard. The light unit of the model consists of a single LED unit for low and high beam, as well as four additional LED units for daytime running lights and direction indicators. The new R 1300 GS Adventure also features two extra flat auxiliary headlights with LED technology that are harmoniously and securely integrated into the bodywork. This combination illuminates the road with unprecedented clarity, allowing traffic to be perceived much better.

Personalized driving experience

The Adaptive Vehicle Height Control system can also be integrated into the new R 1300 GS Adventure for better access and easier use. Thanks to the optional Adaptive Vehicle Height Control, vehicle height can be adjusted fully automatically to suit the usage conditions without compromising driving dynamics and leaning angle. Driving Assistant offered as optional equipment in the new R 1300 GS Adventure; It consists of Active Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning components.

In addition to the new aluminum rear case and integrated magnetic connections that create an electrical interface for USB charging sockets and lighting elements, new aluminum bags with optional volume expansion feature are offered as optional equipment on the model.
The New R 1300 GS Adventure, which has a 30-liter aluminum fuel tank with smart connection options and waterproof storage space, provides effective protection against wind and weather conditions with a windshield and hand protective materials.

While the fuel tank provides confidence with its width, it also provides effective frontal protection against adverse weather conditions. The large windshield combined with two large transparent wind deflectors enables a uniquely quiet and comfortable ride even on long journeys, thanks to the effective protection it offers against adverse weather conditions.
