Google Photos has introduced a new ‘Updates’ section that will make it easier to keep track of activity on shared albums.

The updates will allow users to more easily monitor shared albums and group conversations.
In the Updates section, the activities are displayed in chronological order.
New “Updates” sectionwill be accessible by tapping a bell icon that replaces the share button. In this section, the events will be presented in chronological order. Additionally, previous events can be viewed with options such as “today, yesterday, this week, this month and more”. Google states that in this way, users can follow albums, groups and conversations more quickly and accessibly.
For those who want to access shared albums new “Collections” section also comes into play. Thanks to this section, albums will become more organized and accessible. The new “Updates” page will be available on Android and iOS platforms. It may take a few weeks for the feature to be rolled out to all users.
