Google Photos has announced an important update that makes album management more practical for both Android and web users. Thanks to the new feature, users will be able to directly see which albums a photo or video is in. Here are the details of the feature…
Namely, previously it was quite complicated and time-consuming to check whether content was already added to an album. With the new feature, editing content and preventing repetitive additions has become much easier. The update, which is currently available only on Android and web versions, appears with the “Album” section added to the information panel when viewing a photo or video in full screen mode.
This section shows which albums the content is in and how many items are in each album. The new feature is located just below the “Contacts and Pets” section in the information panel. In other words, users can organize the content better from this section.
The same feature has been activated in the web version, so users do not experience a disconnection between platforms. The new feature is currently not available on iOS devices. iPhone users will have to wait a while longer to access this new feature. Additionally, the favorites folder is not currently considered an album, but this may change with future updates.
Android users will be able to start using this feature starting today with version 7.11 of Google Photos. What do you think about this development? You can share your opinions in the comments.
