Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi 13 4G with Helio G91 processor last month and today, it introduced the 5G version with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Engine) chipset. Redmi 13 5G runs on HyperOS based on Android 14 and offers up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which can also be expanded up to 1 TB with a microSD card. The smartphone has a 6.79 inch FullHD + 120Hz LCD screen and offers 550 nits brightness, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and wet touch support. There is also a hole for the 13 MP selfie camera on the screen.
On the back of the Redmi 13 5G, there are three round areas for two cameras and a ring flash. The main camera uses the 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. The second camera is a 2 MP macro unit. The device is powered by a 5,030 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Redmi states that the 33W adapter included in the package can charge the battery up to 50% in 30 minutes. Other features include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, IR Blaster, IP53 rating, and side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Redmi 13 5G will be available in Hawaiian Blue, Orchid Pink and Black Diamond color options and will have two memory options: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. Prices are set at INR 13,999 ($170/€155) and INR 15,499 ($185/€170), respectively. This device is available from July 12
