OnePlus introduced its latest flagship model, OnePlus 13, at an event held in China. Equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, advanced display features and a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh, the device includes significant changes in both design and hardware compared to the brand’s previous models. OnePlus 13, which was launched in China, will also be available in the international market in the coming months.
The new OnePlus 13 comes with a noticeable change in its design. Instead of the obvious curved screen used in previous models, the device has opted for a 2.5D screen design, with four edges slightly curved but appearing flat. While this 6.82-inch screen offers a more compact structure compared to the brand’s previous models, high performance in image quality is aimed with the new generation flagship X2 OLED panel.
OnePlus 13 offers a three-lens arrangement in the camera system developed in collaboration with Hasselblad. Sony’s 50 MP main camera with LYT-808 sensor, a periscope lens with 3x optical zoom and a third ultra-wide-angle camera are included in this system. This structure provides the user with the opportunity to capture a wide perspective and detail, especially in mobile photography. In addition, the third lens can also take macro photos with its wide angle structure. With the artificial intelligence-supported improvements used in the camera software, it is possible to take better shots, especially in low light.
The screen of the device uses the X2 OLED panel developed by BOE, and this panel offers 1440p resolution and has a variable refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The screen, which reaches a brightness of 800 nits in typical use, can also provide a clear image outdoors or in intensely light environments with its peak brightness of 4500 nits. In this model, the ultrasonic fingerprint reader is integrated under the screen to increase security.
OnePlus 13 is offered with IP69 certification in line with the increasing durability trend in the Chinese market. This feature provides high resistance to water and dust, as well as protection against high pressure water and steam cleaning. IP69 certification, which is quite new in the smartphone industry, provides advantages for phone use, especially in intense outdoor conditions.
Another piece of equipment that improves the user experience of the device is its powerful vibration engine. This engine, with a volume of 602mm³, is defined by OnePlus as “game controller level feedback”. This feature aims to provide the user with a stronger and more realistic feeling, especially in mobile games and applications that require haptic feedback.
OnePlus 13 is launching with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 in China. However, it is stated that the models that will be offered to the international market will come with OxygenOS 15. With this update, new user experience-oriented software features are expected to be included on the device.
The 6000 mAh capacity silicon-carbon battery provides 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support, providing long-term battery life for users with intensive daily use. Thus, a significant advantage is provided in terms of battery performance, especially for users who travel frequently or are constantly active.
