OnePlus 13’s mysterious camera feature revealed

According to insider information, OnePlus 13 will have a triple camera system and each will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. This system will include the main sensor, ultra-wide angle lens and telephoto lens. This setup differs from the OnePlus 12, which has a 50MP main lens, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens.

The tipster noted that the telephoto lens of the OnePlus 13 will offer 3x optical zoom, which is similar to the OnePlus 12 but an “updated” version. This could mean a larger sensor size or other camera hardware improvements. Hasselblad will continue to provide optimizations of the phone.

Previous reports suggested that the OnePlus 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. An increase in battery capacity is also expected. According to leaks, the new OnePlus flagship will come with a 6000mAh battery, unlike the OnePlus 12 with a 5400mAh capacity. This means longer usage time between charges. It is also stated that the phone will support 100W wired charging, but it is said that there will be no wireless charging support.

OnePlus reintroduced wireless charging with OnePlus 12, but it is claimed that this feature may be removed again with OnePlus 13. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is expected to be introduced in October this year and Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro may be the first phones to use this chip. However, the OnePlus 13 will be one of the first devices with this new chip as it will be released in the same month.
