Open Protocol for the Communication of Artificial Intelligence Agents from Google: Agent2Agent

While artificial intelligence giants continue to come up with agent -oriented products, Google also last week Agent2Agent announced a new open protocol. The protocol allows agents produced by different developers to work safely with each other. Moreover, even if they have been created in a separate Framework, they can work together.

How does the Agent2Agent protocol work?

The A2A protocol provides a communication channel between one Agent and the other. A2A facilitates communication between Google’s client Agent and Agents, which it calls the AGENT running remotely. The client formulates and transmits the agent from the user. AGENT operates remotely on the task.

In summary, an Agent may ask another to complete one task. In this way, we can say that the Agents can introduce what can do. Google describes this feature as a talent discovery. Agents can advertise their abilities through an Agent card in JSON format. Thus, the agents used by consumers may know what they can do before connecting to other Agents. Consumer Agents can then discuss which tasks should be completed and work together on user instructions. The user instructions that can be studied may include contents such as contexts, answers, files, videos and documents.

Thanks to the task management feature of the protocol, the communication between the Agents is only aimed at completing the demands. Life cycles can also be defined for tasks. It is also possible to send messages around the cooperation feature around context answers, output of tasks or instructions. Google’s Agent2Agent protocol has the support of more than 50 technology partners. Benefits of being open to A2A protocol

Google has released all the features of the protocol in Github. Developers will be able to benefit from shared code samples in Github and more sample scenarios. Google’s design of A2A as an open protocol will enable the open source community to contribute to the A2A project. In this context, code updates can be recommended. The protocol was also built on existing standards such as HTTP and JSON. Therefore, it is easier to integrate with existing technology stones.
