OpenAI’s video production model Sora is now available for ChatGPT Pro and Plus subscribers

OpenAI has launched its long-awaited text-to-video AI model, Sora, for ChatGPT Pro and Plus subscribers. The model, which was initially available in the USA and many other countries, is not yet available for users in the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Sora’s features and terms of use

The new version of Sora, “Sora Turbo,” offers features such as creating videos from texts and images, remixing existing videos, and converting photos into videos. Additionally, thanks to the “Storyboard” interface, users can create story-based videos by combining multiple scenes sequentially. The “Blend” tool allows you to create new content by combining two videos.

ChatGPT Plus subscribersIt can produce up to 50 5-second videos per month at 720p resolution. ChatGPT Pro subscription It supports creating up to 500 videos per month at 1080p resolution and up to 20 seconds in length. Pro subscribers can also produce unlimited low-priority videos and download videos without watermarks. The prices of these plans are determined as $ 20 (Plus) and $ 200 (Pro) per month.

Security and ethical rules

Sora takes a meticulous approach to security and ethics. The videos produced include watermarks and C2PA metadata to indicate that they were created by AI. Warnings are made that the content users upload to the platform should not contain violence, sexual content, copyright infringement or individuals under the age of 18. It is stated that accounts may be suspended in case of rule violations.

Sora, not available in the EU and UK due to local data privacy regulations. While OpenAI CEO Sam Altman did not give an exact date for the launch in Europe, he stated that this process may take time to ensure compliance with local regulations. OpenAI had previously made some of its products available in the EU with a delay for similar reasons.
