Pixel 9 Pro Fold was introduced, here are its features

Google, which released its first foldable phone last year, continues its journey with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold model. The foldable phone will be available to users as of next month.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold welcomes users with many hardware changes. Among these improvements, major updates to the screens lead the way.

The external display has now been revamped in both size and aspect ratio (20:9). Here, users are presented with a 6.3 inch screen. The foldable screen has also been replaced with a longer screen compared to the previous generation. The new 8-inch “Super Acuta Flex” screen offers a very high maximum brightness level of 2700 nits.

A new hinge mechanism awaits users in Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The new hinge allows the foldable screen to open more flatly. The aluminum-cased phone, which weighs 257 grams on the scales, is over 25 grams lighter than its predecessor.

It is also worth noting that the 9 Pro Fold, which is only 10.5 mm thick, is 13 percent thinner when folded compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold shares the same specifications with other Pixel 9 Pro models. The Tensor G4 processor is accompanied by 16 GB of RAM. Storage options are 256 and 512 GB. Google claims that the 4650 mAh battery will provide a usage time of more than 24 hours.

Other Pixel 9 series specs and features supported on the Fold include Satellite SOS support, Titan M2 security chip along with free Google VPN, and Android 14 with 7 years of Android, security, and Feature Drop updates. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold also introduces Google’s new Gemini features and Pixel Screenshots, which uses artificial intelligence to help you find information from screenshots you’ve already taken.

In Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the main camera is a 48-megapixel sensor. A 10.5 megapixel ultra wide angle and 10.8 megapixel telephoto camera completes the system. There are 10 megapixel cameras above the screens.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes in two color options

Two color options are offered for Google’s newest foldable phone: Obsidian and Porcelain. The foldable phone will be sold at prices starting from $ 1799 and will be on the shelves as of September 4.
