Sony, one of the world’s largest console and technology giants, is abuzz with very interesting news these days: The PS5 developer kit, which Sony sent specifically to game and application developers, was sold on eBay for a rather exorbitant price. However, in order to avoid Sony’s wrath, the seller sold the console as a Pizza oven.
Sony does not allow PS5 developer kit to be sold
Under normal circumstances, the PS5 developer kit sent specifically to developers by Sony is sent with each one containing a different ID number. In the official documents sent by Sony to the developers, it is stated that the console cannot be sold to any other person or used for commercial purposes.
A developer aiming to overcome Sony’s strict rules sold the console on eBay by promoting it as a ‘pizza oven’. By placing a pizza slice in the triangular space in the middle of the console’s interesting design, the seller aimed to get away from Sony.
At this stage, it is a matter of curiosity whether Sony will pursue this issue… As a matter of fact, it is quite difficult to obtain such devices or find them in the market. As a matter of fact, you can obtain it by signing an agreement with Sony stating that you will not use the device for any purpose other than application and game development, and that you will not sell the device to a different person.
So, what do you think about the user who chooses an interesting method to sell the product? Don’t forget to share your opinions with us in the comments.
