Qualcomm and Meta are entering into a new partnership for artificial intelligence. Qualcomm and Meta reached an agreement for Llama 3
Meta recently introduced its newest artificial intelligence model, Llama 3. Immediately after this introduction, a comprehensive agreement was reached with Qualcomm. As part of the collaboration, Qualcomm; Llama 3 model Qualcomm AI Hub will integrate it into the platform.
In this way, device manufacturers, developers and users will be able to use Llama 3’s natural language processing and generative artificial intelligence capabilities. Devices such as phones, headphones and cars powered by Snapdragon processors will be able to access Llama 3 through AI Hub.
Qualcomm stated that integrating Llama 3 into Snapdragon processors will provide better speed and security compared to cloud-based solutions. It will also pave the way for a personalized experience thanks to device-specific optimized artificial intelligence.
On the subject, Qualcomm Vice President Durga Malladi stated that the company is determined to “democratize artificial intelligence and expand its benefits globally.” He said he wants to roll out Llama 3 to Snapdragon devices via AI Hub.
Meta stated that Llama 3 showed significant results in benchmarks. He also explained that he wants to expand the model’s multilingual and multimodal capabilities.
