Redmi K70 Ultra’s screen technology aroused curiosity

Redmi K70 Ultra is expected to be introduced this month and it is claimed that the new model will come with some exciting features. According to information shared by a reliable source, Redmi K70 Ultra will support 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming under 60 nits brightness and use DC dimming above that. According to the IEEE Std1789-2015 international standard, the screen vibration frequency does not pose a risk to the human eye when it exceeds 3125Hz. Therefore, the screen is considered safe for eye health.

The screen of the new model will use C8+ lighting materials jointly developed by Xiaomi and Huaxing. This display provides a huge improvement in energy efficiency and panel life. Redmi K70 Ultra will be the first phone to be released with this new display panel. The high PWM frequency reduces eye fatigue and enables the panel to deliver rich colors. The display panel will have 1.5K resolution and a flat design.

According to Geekbench data, Redmi K70 Ultra will come with the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. This chipset includes a Cortex-X4 performance core that can reach 3.4GHz, 3X Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 2.85GHz, and 4X Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The chipset uses TSMC’s 3rd generation 4nm manufacturing process and has 18MB L3 + SLC cache. The phone is expected to be equipped with UFS 4.0 fast storage and offer options up to 24GB + 1TB configuration.

Redmi K70 Ultra will have generative artificial intelligence models running on the device, such as “Tongyi Qianwen”, “Baichuan” and “Wenxin Yiyan”. These models will offer a variety of multi-modal generative AI features. There will also be a discrete graphics chip that will provide super resolution and super frame functions for games.

The phone will come with IP68 dust and water resistance certification, like its predecessor. The K60 Ultra came with the Dimensity 9200+ (4 nm) chipset and configurations such as 256GB 12GB RAM, 256GB 16GB RAM, 512GB 16GB RAM, 1TB 16GB RAM and 1TB 24GB RAM. It also has a 50MP main camera (1/1.49”, OIS supported), 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera.
