The animated movie Sausage Party, written by famous names such as Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, was released in 2016. The series adaptation of the production aimed at adults, which did well at the box office, was released on the Amazon Prime Video platform on July 11.

The mini series called Sausage Party: Foodtopia, which is aimed at adults like the 2016 movie, was on RTÜK’s radar due to some scenes in it. RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin described the content of the Sausage Party: Foodtopia animation series as “perverted” and said that a legal investigation has been initiated against the production. Şahin also underlined that they issued the necessary warnings to the broadcasting platform Amazon Prime Video regarding the issue in the harshest way.
