Samsung announced earlier this month that it was working on two new affordable Galaxy smartphones. One of these phones, Galaxy A06, was spotted on the IMEI certification site. Now, with the model number SM-A065F, the device has appeared on the Geekbench benchmark platform and WiFi Alliance certification. These latest listings confirm the name of the device and some of its specifications.
According to Geekbench, the motherboard of the Samsung Galaxy A06 includes ARM MT6769V/CZ. This suggests that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. The same processor was also used in the Galaxy A05 model. The database listing states that the device has 6GB of RAM and more options may be available at launch. The smartphone will come with Android 14 operating system.
Samsung Galaxy A06 scored 1,664 and 5,326 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. WiFi Alliance certification confirms that the device will come with dual-band WiFi 5 support. This information summarizes what we know about the Galaxy A06, and more details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
Galaxy A06 will be launched as the successor to last year’s A05 model. As a reminder, the predecessor model had a 6.7 inch HD + LCD screen. Offered with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage options, A05 had 50MP and 2MP rear cameras and an 8MP front camera. Its 5,000mAh battery provided 25W fast charging support. This model was launched with a starting price of approximately $120.
The new model is expected to come with similar features but with a few upgrades. With the launch of the Galaxy A06, users will have another smartphone option that is more affordable but has powerful features. We will continue to share details with you as they become available.
