Introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event, Galaxy Z Fold 6 seems to have managed to surpass its predecessor Fold 5 in many aspects. Although the new generation foldable phone is similar to the Fold 5 in its design lines, it has a thinner and lighter structure. The unfolded version of the phone is 5.6 mm thick, which is 1.2 mm thinner than the previous generation. Its weight is 239 grams, which brings the device close to the weight of a standard smartphone. Additionally, it is 14 grams lighter than the Z Fold 5.

Designed with an Amor aluminum frame, the device is 10 percent more resistant to impacts and external influences. The front screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, as in the Fold 5. While the device is offered in silver, pink and dark blue color options, black and white color alternatives will also be available exclusively on Samsung’s official website.

Display and Design

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 draws attention with its narrow and long 6.5 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2376 x 968 pixel HD + screen. When you open the device, you see a huge 7.6 inch screen. The resolution of this internal screen is 2160 x 1856 pixels and the refresh rate varies between 1-120 Hz, which provides a great advantage both when playing games and watching videos.

S Pen, which Samsung will sell separately, can be used on the big screen. You can easily switch between applications using the task bar at the bottom, and multi-window use is very enjoyable.

Hardware and Performance

Z Fold 6 has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (4nm) processor. The device comes with 12 GB RAM and offers 512 GB and 1 TB storage options. The processor, specially developed under the label ‘…for Galaxy’, gets very high scores in Geekbench tests. The device, which received 2212 points in the GeekBench Single Core test and 6879 points in the Multi-Core test, even surpasses its rival Galaxy S24 Ultra. It also scores 14,731 points in the GPU test, making it 5000 points ahead of the Z Fold 5.

Camera and Battery

The device comes with a 50 MP f / 1.8 OIS supported main camera and an ultra-wide 12 MP f / 2.2 123 degree camera. Additionally, there is a 10 MP f/2.2 camera on the cover and a 4 MP under-screen camera on the open screen. We can say that the rear camera will be used more thanks to the folding screen.

Samsung offers a 4,400 mAh battery and 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support on the device.

New Artificial Intelligence Features

Galaxy AI features will also be available on Z Fold and Z Flip models. New generation artificial intelligence features include:

• Creative Portrait Feature: You can refresh your portraits in various styles. Options such as Sketch, 3D, Animation, Cartoon are available.
• Interpreter: It can instantly translate mutual dialogues into the desired language. Turkish support will come in September.
• Ability to produce visuals from drawings in the Notes application: Drawings can be turned into realistic visuals.
