Samsung is preparing to introduce its sixth generation foldable phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. A lot of information about this new model has emerged in leaks and certification listings. The new Galaxy Z Fold6 will come with a larger screen and have sharp corners similar to the design language of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. According to famous technology analyst Ice Universe, the outer screen of Galaxy Z Fold6 will be 60.2 mm wide. This is a 5% increase over the 57.4 mm wide Galaxy Z Fold5.
Rendered images of Galaxy Z Fold6 in three different colors have emerged. According to the latest news, the book-style foldable phone will come in pink color option. In the renderings shared by Passionategeekz, it appears that the phone will be in pink, blue and silver colors. This means that the Galaxy Z Fold6 will offer a pink color option for the first time. Additionally, Ice Universe stated that the device will also be available in black and white color options in the online market.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 will have a 7.6-inch internal display, which is the same size as the Galaxy Z Fold5. However, the schematic of the phone shows a larger display with an aspect ratio of 8:6.9 compared to its predecessor. The width of the device when opened will be 132.6 mm and the length will be 153.5 mm. For comparison, the Z Fold5’s width in the open position was 129.9 mm and its length was 154.9 mm. Additionally, leaked images show that the device will have thinner top and bottom bezels on its outer screen.
The new model will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. If the renders are accurate, the camera module may be slightly more protruding than its predecessor. However, Ice Universe claimed that the phone would use the same cameras as the previous model. So, we’ll have to wait to see if Samsung makes any changes to the camera system.
The new design and large screen of Galaxy Z Fold6 aim to offer users a wider viewing experience. This new model from Samsung looks like it will be a remarkable option among foldable phones.
