The Samsung Messages app has been the default messaging app on Galaxy smartphones for years, but Samsung started phasing it out with the Galaxy S22 series in 2022. Although Samsung also supported RCS, the Google Messages app offered better support. Samsung to bring Google Messages to Galaxy devices in 2022 default SMS/RCS application but it also came with its own application installed.
Instead of Samsung Messages on Galaxy phones starting with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 Google Messages will come installed. Samsung did not share information about which countries this will be available in, but according to user feedback, it currently affects users in America. Devices in Europe come pre-installed with Samsung Messages. On the other hand, the Samsung Messages application can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store, but Samsung Some features cannot be used states.
