After Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models at the Unpacked event held on July 10, expectations for One UI 7 accelerated. According to latest leaks, Korean tech giant Android plans to make major visual changes to its interface. So, when will the One UI 7 beta version arrive?
When will One UI 7 Beta be released?
According to famous Samsung leaker Ice Universe, Samsung plans to launch the One UI 7 beta program in late July or early August. However, barring last-minute development issues, they will stick to this timeline. Otherwise, like with the One UI 6 beta, the beta program may be delayed by a few weeks.
Before the beta program begins, Samsung is expected to officially announce One UI 7 and highlight all the new features and changes. This software update will be released first for the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung’s 2024 flagship phones, in the US and South Korea. A wider release is expected with the second beta version.
For the last few years, Samsung usually releases a beta version of its new major One UI release in late July or early August. It looks like they will stick to the same timeline this year too. If all goes as planned, the stable One UI 7 version will be ready for Samsung’s flagship phones by the end of September or early October.
Samsung introduced a redesigned Quick Settings panel with One UI 6 based on Android 14. This year, there are rumors that bigger changes are on the way. It is stated that the Korean giant plans to divide the notification panel into two parts: notification and quick settings panel. Xiaomi had done something similar with HyperOS on its phones, and it looks like Samsung will follow suit.
Other changes include redesigned and smoother animations, rounded app icons that give a slight 3D effect. What are you thinking? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
