Samsung At the Foundry Forum event last year, he shared his plans to mass produce 2nm and 1.4nm process-based processors. Now, according to a source based in South Korea, the company has started its new production process with which it aims to lead the mobile processor market.
According to ETNews, Samsung Electronics started to produce its new processor with the 2nm process in order to get ahead in competition with Apple and TSMC. It is claimed that the 2nm process process will provide a 12% increase in performance, a 25% increase in power efficiency and a 5% reduction in total area.
Exynos 2600 Produced with 2nm Process is Coming
According to the latest report, the processor that Samsung has started working on will be called Exynos 2600, which is likely to be released with the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.
Assuming everything goes well during the manufacturing process, Samsung will reportedly be one of the first companies to bring a 2nm-based processor, following a possible 3nm processor coming with the Galaxy S25 next year. This also means that Samsung will be ahead of the competition against the iPhone 17 series, which will probably be released next year with a 2nm-based processor.
Although Samsung includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors in its phones in some regions, it plans to reduce this as much as possible, and Exynos 2600 can create the revolution the company wants in this regard.
