Koenigsegg once again made history in the automotive world. The Jesko Absolut model broke the 0-400-0 km/h speed record in 27.83 seconds, surpassing the time of the previous Regera. In addition to this impressive achievement, Jesko Absolut set three more world records for a homologated standard production car.
The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is an incredible supercar that produces 1,280 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque with its 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Equipped with a 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission, this rear-wheel drive beast offers room for the driver and a passenger. But the most remarkable thing is that it achieved the new 0-400-0 km/h record in just 27.83 seconds.
In addition to this record, Jesko Absolut completed the 0-400 km/h time in 18.82 seconds, the 0-250-0 km/h time in 28.27 seconds and the 0-250 km/h time in 19.20 seconds.
The original 0-400-0 km/h record was broken by the Koenigsegg Regera in 2023, and Jesko Absolut beat this time by almost a full second. Breaking such a speed record in such a short time is an incredible achievement.
All four records were achieved on June 27 at an airport in Örebro, Sweden, where the Regera broke its original record. What is remarkable is that all the records were broken in a single lap, with no runs to be repeated throughout the day.
This run was held at 5am when conditions were perfect. The day before, the team had determined that the air temperature and track temperature were above ideal and waiting a day for perfect weather conditions was the right decision.
To achieve these records, no special modifications were made to the car other than a roll cage to protect test driver Markus Lundh. The car ran as delivered, on E85 fuel and on standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires.

Next up is the more powerful Jesko Attack, and this model has the chance to break these records when it hits the tracks. The company has come a long way since its initial concept designed in MS Paint.
