• Networked data fusionWhile it is possible for these aircraft to travel alone in the air, they can also perform comprehensive missions in conjunction with other assets. They can operate jointly with other aircraft, ground-based systems, and other systems on the networked battlefield. This helps raise awareness.

• Multi-purpose abilities: Since these aircraft are quite expensive, forces generally want them to be able to do everything. Therefore, they can be used in a wide variety of missions, including air-to-air, island-to-ground attack and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR). These aircraft also demonstrate capabilities such as command, control and communications.

These features are generally included in all fifth generation fighter jets. Of course, countries can choose different approaches for their aircraft in line with their needs.
