As in all parts of the world, the pollution problem began to arise on Mount Everest. Everest, which is a frequent destination for adventurous climbers every year, has unfortunately begun to deteriorate with the garbage left on the slopes. Now, it has been claimed that the Chinese drone manufacturer DJI has developed high-altitude drones with “Heavy Load” capacity for Everest. Here are the details…
Heavy-duty drone model coming from DJI for Mount Everest garbage
Mount Everest, which carries 50 tons of garbage on its slopes every year as climbers visit it, unfortunately failed to achieve a solution no matter what solutions were tried. The garbage reached such an extent that people began to call Everest “The world’s highest garbage dump.” Although climbers were told by Nepal to either collect 18 pounds of garbage each time or pay hundreds of dollars in fees, this method does not seem to work very well.
This garbage affected the people living in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, called Sherpas. Although the people helped the climbers by giving them directions and collecting the garbage they left behind, they stated that their strength was now exhausted.
According to Nepal’s plans, heavy-duty drones will be used to collect garbage on the mountain, and DJI, which was also present at the SDN Summit event, will be chosen for this job. The fact that DJI has already developed such drones and that they are quite popular strengthens the possibility.
The company sent its first drone model to Everest for testing in April, and a single drone can carry 500 pounds, or approximately 225 kilograms, of garbage between two regions for an hour. So, what do you think about this issue? To what extent do you think the world’s garbage problem will reach? You can share your thoughts in the comments.
