As we shared recently, Meta; Daxter, God of War: The producer of popular games such as Chains of Olympus, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, The Order: 1886 and the Lone Echo series had closed down Ready At Dawn: Following the closure of the company, we received information that a rival game to Assassin’s Creed was being developed.
Game Shinobi602, the world’s well-known insider information source, made an interesting statement on Twitter/X. According to the information shared by Shinobi602, Ready At Dawn studio had made various plans for the sequel of The Order: 1886 before it was acquired by Meta. These plans focused specifically on the gameplay experience and envisioned a major revolution for the gaming world.
It was stated that the sequel of The Order: 1886 will directly use the engine of the first game without dealing with the game engine that spent a lot of time and resources during the development of the original game, thus making the big leap seen in the transition from the first Assassin’s Creed game to Assassin’s Creed 2.
The Order: 1886 was released for PlayStation 4 on February 20, 2015. The game was set in London in 1886 with an alternative history fiction, and players controlled the Knights of the Round Table, who tried to protect the world from hybrid creatures such as werewolves and vampires and rebel groups opposing the government. The gameplay was based on taking cover and shooting with various weapons and had a linear story.
Of course, this doesn’t mean we’ll ever see this game. Even though The Order: 1886 sold very few copies, received very poor ratings, and was almost excommunicated by Sony, it still has a small audience. Let’s see if the game can appear again one day.
