After Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl’s release date was postponed, developer GSC Game World shared a 35-minute in-depth review of the game to calm down impatient fans. Stalker 2’s unique atmosphere and free exploration opportunity are explained in detail in this long video.
Here is Stalker 2 35 minute gameplay video
GSC Game World states that Stalker 2 offers 20 different zones in its massive open world called the “Chornobyl Forbidden Zone”. Each region comes with its own inhabitants, anomalies, and nature. The fact that there are few obstacles between these large areas gives players the freedom to explore, but also deepens the feeling of loneliness and anxiety. GameBy exploring different regions, players will be able to shape in-game stories and missions according to their own preferences.
The developer team points out that the mission structure of the game is quite free. Each game experience is designed to enable the player to encounter a different story, different missions and characters based on their preferences. Additionally, a world has been created where players can explore and find new equipment, weapons and improvements.
Stalker 2 aims to create a more realistic atmosphere rather than offering players an easy gaming experience. While players can customize their weapons with various upgrades, they will also have to pay attention to their hunger levels, fatigue, and the weight of the equipment they carry. Instead of a classic level system, the game offers a natural progression system that allows players to make progress as they get used to the environment and gain experience.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl launches November 20 on Xbox Series X/S, PC (SteamGOG, Epic) and Game Pass. So, what do you think about this post-apocalyptic survival experience?
