Samsung is preparing to announce the Galaxy Tab S10 series. However, this time there is a difference that we are not used to. According to new information, there will be no basic model in the Galaxy Tab S10 series. So, we will have to make do with the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra models. So, why was such a change in strategy made? Will there be a cheaper version?
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 base model may not be produced
Samsung, Android continues to offer large screens, premium designs and high-performance features in its tablets. However, it is said that there will not be a basic model in the Galaxy Tab S10 family, which is expected to be released towards the end of this year or in early 2025. This means that while there were three models in last year’s Galaxy Tab S9 lineup, this time we’ll have to settle for just the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra.
The reasons behind Samsung’s decision are not entirely clear. However, considering its competition with Apple’s iPad Pro models, it is thought that Samsung aims to stand out in the market with two powerful models. Apple has achieved great success by offering 11 and 13 inch models in the iPad Pro series. Samsung also wants to take part in the market with the Tab S10 + and Tab S10 Ultra models by following a similar strategy.
The screen sizes of the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra models will be similar to the 12.4- and 14.6-inch displays on the Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra. These huge screens will use cutting-edge AMOLED display technology. However, with Apple switching from LCD to OLED screens, Samsung may not have a big advantage in this regard.
What about prices? Rumor has it that the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra models are lighter than their predecessors. It may be affordable. This is because Samsung plans to use MediaTek’s high-end Dimensity 9300 Plus processor in these models. This processor, combined with 16GB of RAM, will offer more than enough performance for most users. However, it is not yet clear whether this processor will be used in all world markets or in certain regions.
Leaked render images of the new Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra show that there will be no major changes in Samsung’s flagship tablet design. No major changes are expected in the interior equipment. So what do you think? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
