As previously announced by the Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, with the new decisions published in the Official Gazette, significant changes have been made in purchases made from foreign shopping platforms such as Temu. The limit on international shopping sites such as Temu dropped to 30 Euros.

With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, fast shipping limit for purchases made from abroad From 150 euros to 30 euros was dropped. This new limit means that citizens’ purchases from sites such as Temu must no longer exceed 30 euros in order to pass through customs. With this decision, spending limits five times more low has been reduced to one level.

Not only spending limits, but also tax rates on foreign purchases have increased. Previously, cargo coming from European Union countries 18 percent tax rate to 30 percent removed. For products ordered from China and other countries outside the EU, the tax rate is 1%. from 30 to 60 percent was raised. These new regulations have been implemented since their publication in the Official Gazette. It will come into force after 15 days. During this period, citizens will be able to shop within current limits and tax rates.
