Sales data from the European Union and the United Kingdom revealed the best-selling cars in the first six months of 2024. Tesla, which was at the top of the list last year with Model Y, was able to grab the eighth place with the same model again this year. The top lines of the list were filled by the popular models of the market.
Dacia Sandero, which took the leadership seat with sales of 143 thousand 596 units, attracted everyone’s appreciation with its affordable price and latest chassis design and technology. Sandero, which is in demand because it is a complete f/p model, has proven this with its sales. While Volkswagen Golf, the legendary Volkswagen Golf, ranked second on the list with 126 thousand 993 sales, Renault Clio, also an f/p model, ranked third with 114 thousand 623 sales.
Clio was followed by Volkswagen T-Roc with 111 thousand 381 units, Peugeot 208 in fifth place with 107 thousand 97 sales, Scoda Octavia in sixth place with 102 thousand 945 sales and Citroen C3 in seventh place with 102 thousand 304 sales. While last year’s leader Tesla Model Y ranked eighth with sales of 101 thousand 181 units, the last two rows of the list were Toyota’s popular models Yaris Cross and Yaris. The sales figures of both vehicles were around 99 thousand.
Although all the cars on the list are successful in their segment, Toyota must be congratulated separately. Although there are more than one brand that is on the list twice, Toyota, which is on the list twice with the same model, has truly achieved serious success.
