The Elder Scrolls series may return with a new remake. While expectations continue for The Elder Scrolls VI, which will be the sixth main game of the series, rumors of a remake have stirred up confusion. Accordingly, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake may be introduced next month.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake is on the way
According to information leaked by a former employee, Oblivion is being retested with Unreal Engine 5. Although Bethesda has not officially confirmed this project, the game is expected to be announced at the Xbox Direct event to be held in January 2025.
First released in 2006, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is considered one of the best games in the series. The production, which made a big impact with its open world, story and original details that drew players in, also enabled the growth of the Elder Scrolls series.
However, with the closure of the Xbox 360 online store, access to this classic game becomes difficult. In addition, with Unreal Engine 5 support, it is expected to have new generation graphics and expand to new players.
Let us remind you that a mobile game was recently introduced for the Elder Scrolls series. The Elder Scrolls: Castles was inspired by Bethesda’s previous mobile game, Fallout Shelter. In the production, which is called a “kingdom management simulation”, players take on the role of a ruler by building their castles.
According to Bethesda’s statement, you can customize every aspect of the castle, educate your base, appoint heirs, and send your heroes on quests to fight Elder Scrolls enemies.
