An important step has been taken in the field of traffic safety in Turkey. Domestic and national artificial intelligence-supported speed violation detection systems, developed in cooperation with the General Directorate of Security and the Presidency of Defense Industries, have begun to be used.

These systems are produced by Radarsan Radar Teknolojileri San. and Tic. Inc. Artificial Intelligence Supported Mobile Speed Detection System

The new generation mobile speed detection device can read the license plate, vehicle type and speed data of all vehicles, day and night, in all weather conditions, without the need for any operator.

This system, which instantly detects speed violations with artificial intelligence support, transmits data along with photographs and passage times to the PolNet network of the General Directorate of Security and immediately notifies traffic teams.

The system, which was started to be used in Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Balıkesir and Niğde within the scope of the pilot application, showed its effect by detecting 6 thousand 551 speed violations during the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday alone.

This technological innovation, produced with local and national resources, aims to create a solution to the challenges Turkey faces in the field of traffic safety. Artificial intelligence-supported mobile speed detection devices are considered an important step towards preventing loss of life and property.
