The new BMW iX2 is on sale in Turkey!

Speaking at the event held in Dalaman, attended by Hakkı Alkan from ShiftDelete.Net, Borusan Otomotiv Executive Board Member Can Mete Paker and another BMW official gave detailed information about the features and sales targets of the new iX2 model offered for sale in Turkey.

The new iX2 has a more sporty and dynamic design than the previous generation. It’s also 194mm longer, 23mm wider and 22mm taller. This growth means more space in the interior and an increase in luggage capacity. BMW official emphasized that iX2 is now an ideal option for customers looking for both comfort and large volume in the Coupe SUV segment.

In line with BMW’s “Power of Choice” approach, the new iX2 is offered with two different engine options: Mild Hybrid and fully electric. iX2 sDrive 20i produces 170 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque with its 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine and Mild Hybrid support. The fully electric iX2 eDrive 20i produces 204 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque and offers a range of 478 km (according to WLTP measurement). 0-100 acceleration is 8.6 seconds.

While the Mild Hybrid version offers lower fuel consumption, the electric version can be charged from 0 to 100% in 3 hours and 45 minutes with 22 kW AC charging support. BMW is giving away Wallbox chargers for all its electric models in Turkey. Let us also say that it charges from 10 percent to 80 percent in 29 minutes with 130 kW DC support.

The interior of the new iX2 attracts attention with its sportily adapted 10.2-inch display screen and 10.7-inch multimedia screen. The electric version is distinguished by the blue ring around the steering wheel logo. Equipment such as Harman Kardon sound system and M Sport seats are offered as options. The vehicle comes with rich equipment options and advanced driving assistants.

Standard equipment includes features such as adaptive LED headlights, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, driving assistant, parking sensors, automatic parking, reversing assistant and parking assistant. The optional M Sport equipment package offers a sportier appearance and driving experience with features such as M Shadow headlights, M Sport brake discs, M Sport seats and M Sport steering wheel. Additionally, a lighting feature is offered for the first time in the BMW kidney grille.

Borusan Otomotiv has set ambitious targets for the sales of the new iX2. Paker reminded that the previous generation iX2 was sold in just over 1500 units between 2018 and 2022. He predicts that the new iX2 will reach or even exceed this figure in 9 months in 2024.

Paker also stated that they expect 60 percent of sales to come from the fully electric iX2 model. The price of the new iX2 eDrive 20i model starts from 2,722,772 TL, while the price of the iX2 sDrive 20i model starts from 3,364,200 TL.
