Apple will soon deliver the renewed Mail application, which it offers for iPhone with the iOS 18.2 update, to Mac and iPad users. According to the news by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, this new Mail application will come to the Mac platform with macOS 15.4. iPad users are expected to start using a similar feature with iPadOS 18.4 in April.
This new version stands out with its features of prioritizing e-mails and dividing them into different categories with artificial intelligence support. The application will offer users a more organized experience by automatically organizing incoming e-mails under headings such as primary, transactions, promotions, updates and general. While iPhone users can already use this feature, a similar experience was not yet possible for Mac and iPad users. However, this situation seems to change with new updates.
Apple’s new Mail application was first offered to iPhone users in December with the iOS 18.2 update. However, although the macOS and iPadOS versions of the application have been on the agenda since then, they have not been published. Hints of this new design were given, especially with the M4 processor-based Macs introduced in October last year, but no date was announced.
According to Gurman, the macOS 15.4 beta version will be released in the coming weeks and will meet the end user in April. This version will bring other features as well as the artificial intelligence-supported Mail application.
Apple Mail app will offer a similar experience on all platforms
Gurman states that iPad users will also benefit from this innovation. However, the current iPadOS 18.2 and 18.3 versions do not include the new Mail app. Apple is expected to offer this update with iPadOS 18.4 in April. Thus, equality will be achieved between iPhone, Mac and iPad users.
This move by Apple is considered an important step in making the e-mail experience more user-friendly. It is anticipated that the renewed design and artificial intelligence features will make e-mail management in the Apple ecosystem more effective and organized.
All eyes are now turned to April, when macOS 15.4 and iPadOS 18.4 will be released.
