For the first time, a phone equipped with the Kirin 9000s chipset produced by SMIC, one of China’s largest factories, has been released. This chipset created great excitement among consumers in China by offering 5G support. Huawei has now taken action to become the favorite of not only China but also global markets.

HuaweiThe biggest challenge that it faces in the global market is that it does not have access to Google and that is why it has established its own application store. However, Huawei’s app store has most of the apps offered by the Google Play Store. The company now plans to expand across 60 countries and has taken its first steps in markets such as Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.

HuaweiDifficulties in advanced chip production are one of the biggest obstacles. SMIC does not have the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines required for sub-7nm chip production. This puts Huawei behind its competitors. However, Huawei’s mobile ecosystem and innovation ability can help it overcome this obstacle.

HuaweiIt does not seem possible for now to return to the US market. Mate 30 Pro, which was launched in 2019, was the company’s last phone sold in the USA. However, Huawei could grow strongly in 60 countries outside the US and begin to rise again in those markets.
