Instagram Accepted Turkey’s 8 Different Conditions

As you know, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Albulkadir Uraoğlu announced the other day that an agreement had been reached with Instagram, which has been blocked from access by BTK for a long time in our country, and in this context, the block applied to the platform will be lifted within the day. Following the statements, Instagram started operating again in Turkey at around 21:30.

In his statement, Uraloğlu also announced that the famous platform had accepted some of Turkey’s conditions to reopen access. Last night, the terms of the agreement that many people were curious about came to light.

The terms of the agreement between Instagram and Türkiye are as follows:

• Within the scope of the laws of the Republic of Turkey, content and posts that are among the catalog crimes will be removed immediately.
• Compliance with Turkey’s legal system will be ensured and in case of violation of the law, rapid and effective intervention will be made.
• Accounts will not be closed without any warning.
• Turkish users’ accounts and rights will be secured.
• Accounts closed without warning will be accessible again.
• Propaganda for terrorist organizations such as PKK, PYD and FETO cannot be made on Instagram.
• Posts that violate the laws of the Republic of Turkey will be removed from Instagram.
• If any legal problems occur, Instagram will contact the authorities as quickly as possible.
