Radxa Orion O6 features

There are two M.2 slots on the card, USB connections and an x16 slot for PCIe storage cards. Thus, users can benefit from both high-speed and flexible storage options. Orion O6’s RAM is soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, users need to choose the amount of DDR5 RAM when ordering. 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB RAM options are offered. Working in DDR5-5500 standard, RAM provides 100 GB/s bandwidth.

Prices are competitive

Orion O6 has an open source design. The development process of the project started on July 30, 2024 and was completed in just two months. The first prototype was run on September 29 and is currently in mass production. It is stated that the device, which supports Linux-based operating systems, will also receive Windows and Android support in the future. On the price side, the device is competitive:

  • 8 GB RAM model: $200
  • 16 GB RAM model: $240
  • 32 GB RAM model: $300
  • 64 GB RAM model: $450
